Perfect for sharing over the festive season! Orkney's local produce is widely recognised as some of the best in Britain. Our low-lying land is rich in minerals and being close to the sea means our fish and seafood is as fresh as it gets! This exclusive family hamper is presented in an 18" wicker basket & crammed full of quality Orkney produce. We've catered for all tastes so this hamper makes perfect for sharing over the festive season. The smoked salmon and kippers come from Jolly's our local fishmonger- they use a unique kiln and traditional techniques, cold-smoking the fish over oak fires for up to 8 hours. They do all their slicing by hand rather than by machine and source directly from local producers. The white crabmeat is freshly caught off the island of Westray. Donaldson's hot-smoked hickory ham is yet another award-winning product from our local butcher brothers. There's also a bottle of Blackportent Wine- a fruity, berry wine from Britain's most northerly winery. Grimbister farmhouse crumbly cheese is from a small family-run farm just outside Kirkwall. Erlend's honey deserves a mention- it's so moreish, you can eat it straight out the jar. All the 'real food' in our hampers is sourced from local Orkney producers; most of the businesses are small, cottage-based industries and you simply won't find their products outside of Orkney.
